The Market has a unique combination of stalls at the Hovingham Village Hall both indoors and out.
We focus on local Stallholders and local Produce and have over 50 stalls at each Market, selling food and crafts. The number of visitors is influenced greatly by the weather, and what other events are taking place, however, visitors reliably come from all over North Yorkshire, York, Leeds and further afield.
The Market has won many awards and recognition for its success; these have included National Greenest Market together with Best Yorkshire Farmers Market and Best Community Project.

The Market is very popular and we maintain a waiting list for those wanting to run stalls and if you are interested please contact us with details of what you would like to sell and its origin. Indoor stalls cost £25 per Market with a 6ft table included, and Outdoor stalls costs £21 per Market if providing your own gazebo, or £31 per Market if one needs to be provided for you. A significant discount can be applied when three Markets are booked at the same time.

This Form will help us determine whether we issue you with an invitation to join The Hovingham Village Market, initially as a Guest Stall, so please complete in as much detail as possible.
The Hovingham Village Market has been successfully running for over 15 years with over 1000 Markets receiving an astonishing number of visitors routinely in excess of 700 visitors and at our peak has exceeded 1,200 visitors.
We work hard, run entirely by local volunteers, to welcome new stallholders and to ensure a balance of good quality stalls selling fresh and craft produce from local entrepreneurs. Stallholders often achieve such a level of success that they grow to open shops or successful businesses that outgrow our Market – we pride ourselves as an incubator of local entrepreneurs. We strive to avoid overlap between stallholders but do not offer exclusivity to any stallholders regarding the items they sell. We welcome new and established business or hobby stallholders that are not currently registered as a ”business”, but as a minimum we require evidence of Public Liability Insurance (PLI) in the trading name of the entity which must be the same as the applicant entity name you insert in the table below.
The Market is a not-for-profit organisation. All proceeds go to fund local important groups, to support local initiatives and to support exceptional causes.
